Our Process

We know that for many clients, writing their will or forming a business will oftentimes be their first time working with an attorney. The Law Office of Rebecca O’Connor has developed a process designed to reduce the stress and uncertainty some clients experience when working with attorneys.

Step one: call for your free 30 minute consultation with Rebecca O’Connor. During the consultation, you will explain what your current legal needs are, and Ms. O’Connor will explain your options.

Step two: if you decide you would like to work with Ms. O’Connor, you will sign a retainer agreement which will include an explanation of the work to be done, the legal fees, and when payment is due.

Step three: you will meet virtually with Ms. O’Connor to go over your legal needs in detail. Be prepared to answer a lot of questions. You will be emailed an intake form to complete after this meeting.

Step four: after you return your completed intake form, Ms. O’Connor will begin drafting your documents. Once a draft has been completed you will meet virtually with Ms. O’Connor to go over the draft documents and make any necessary corrections.

Step five: once your documents are complete, Ms. O’Connor will mail, or hand deliver your documents, depending on your legal needs. For estate planning clients, Ms. O’Connor will assist you in executing your estate planning documents.
